This collection of nine previously published fantasy stories from 1966 and 1993-95 are populated with the same characters and concerns that appear in Blood: A Southern Fantasy. As Book II of the Second Ether Sequence, Moorcock uses this collection as a transition to the final book in the trilogy, War Amongst the Angels. In this "multiverse," Rose von Bek, Sam Oakenhurst, Elric the albino prince, and the Beggs family continue their adventures. This is a wonderful introduction to Moorcock's multiverse in all its many flavors, and will be a treat for those already familiar with the world, wars, and characters of his other books.
